I grew up in Clifton Park in Upstate New York. My dad was a photography enthusiast turned wedding photographer who taught me the value of capturing life’s fleeting moments. Our home was filled with treasured photos of our family, nature, and horse-racing. These were reminders that a single frame could hold memory, emotion, and legacy.

I was 10-years-old the first time I picked up my dad’s camera at a local water park. I snapped a perfectly timed photo of him making a huge splash as he was coming down a large water slide. That’s when I realized a picture could do more than show what happened — it could capture the joy of a moment forever.

This sense of storytelling has shaped my professional career in the Washington Metropolitan area (or DMV or National Capital Region). I started photographing local political campaigns in Montgomery County, MD, where I learned to capture a community’s energy and connection. I photographed campaign events, meet & greets, and photoshoots for candidates’ websites, social media platforms, and campaign literature.

From there I moved into sports photography—first at high schools, then at George Mason University in VA and Georgetown University in DC. There I developed the ability to anticipate the split-second plays, document friendships among teammates, and deliver images under the pressure of halftime deadlines.

I’ve since expanded to professional assignments ranging from government headshots to national conferences, traveling across the country to cover a wide-range of events like the National Asphalt and Pavement Association’s (NAPA) conferences in Kansas City, MO; Maui, HI; Brooklyn, NY; and Louisville, KY.

What ties all of this together is my deep-seated belief that great photography isn’t just about documenting—it’s about the art of storytelling. Whether it’s a team celebrating after a hard-fought win, colleagues gathering at a conference, or a family milestone, I bring the same discipline: an eye for detail, efficient culling and editing, and a commitment to timeliness. Every assignment is an opportunity to create images that just don’t record what happened but to carry the emotion and meaning behind each moment, long after it’s passed.

Even on the most challenging days, I love my craft. A career in photography has been my focus since 2017, and I am now eager to take the next step toward making it my full-time profession and long-term career.
